The filling was not mush and herbs and spices were seen, even in the samosa wrapper. The lamb saag was not oily, rich with lamb and very delicious. In addition, we could pay by card (unlike previous business on this site). Can't wait to try more from here. Thank you!- Food

Amazing chats and sweets. Just love the authentic taste. Must try their chat section. There are some table chairs if you want to savour on food there itself. People usually come for takeaways so it’s easy to grab a seat to eat. Friendly staff. There’s a little wait time for hot but believe me it’s worth it for the hot and tasty food.

Spotted a poster for this new Indian eat out place, Old Delhi yesterday and decided to check it out today, and I’m so glad I did! This place is an absolute gem and honestly made my weekend :)
I specifically went there to try their food and had the chole bhature hot at the shop since it was a quiet afternoon. Let me just say, it was hands down one of the best bhature I’ve had lately. Perfectly hot, fluffy, and fresh, with chole that packed real Punjabi flavour just like back in Delhi. The portion size was generous too, which is rare to find around here in the UK.
What I could observe was that this place is run by a lovely young couple who were very polite and welcoming, and it’s clear they care about what they are serving. The food has that authentic, home-style taste that’s hard to come by, it genuinely reminded me of eating out in Delhi.
I also picked up some items to go, and I am really impressed by the immaculate packaging. While I haven’t tried them yet, I noticed the paranthas are huge (literally the size of a full plate!) and the bread pakora looks exactly like what you would get at a proper Delhi street stall, I have no doubt they’ll be just as delicious.
Highly recommend this place to anyone craving real Indian street food done right. Can’t wait to go back!- Service

Old Delhi in Derby really hit the spot. No gimmicks, just solid, tasty food that reminded me of proper Delhi flavours.
We tried the Delhi chicken, dal makhani, and a couple of starters — everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavour. You can tell they don’t cut corners with the spices. Even the naan was bang on.
Staff were warm and friendly without being all over you. Service was quick, and they checked in just enough.
Felt like one of those meals where you leave full and happy, already planning what you’ll try next time.
Would 100% go back.- Service

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review! We're thrilled to know you had a great experience with us.
I took samosas for our team on site, this was the first time trying out this new place as it is under new management now. We had 45 vegetable samosas - they were amazing - the pastry was good and the filling was flavoursome not overpowered by just potato. The team definitely enjoyed them as I had 1 left by the end of the day. The sauces was nice - spicy & tasty 😋 thank you

Just had the most divine Indian treats - the samosas were crispy perfection, and the jalebi, rasgulla, gulab jamun were melt-in-your-mouth heavenly! The spices in the samosas were balanced, and the sweetness of the desserts was just right. A perfect blend of crunch, flavor, and sweetness. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian street food and sweets.👍🏻

We truly appreciate your kind feedback!
Crispiest samosas I've ever had! Flaky pastry, flavorful filling just love it.❤️ Gulab jamun that's soft, syrupy, and divine. The perfect way to end a meal. Best Indian food I've had outside of India! Fully hygiene and fantastic service too. Highly recommended place to visit!

This is a fantastic desi style takeaway which we used for the fifth time tonight. I phone the order in, usually get a 20 minute time to pick it up and they are on time. The food is fresh, tasty and tender. Over the 5 occasions we’ve had Samosa chana chaat, fish pakora as starters. Both are delicious and freshly cooked. Mains we’ve had chilli chicken which has a great kick to it and the Dehli Lamb curry. The lamb is tender and the dish is so so tasty. Okay the food is good, the price is competitive and the hygiene is 5*. I’m a Gora who travelled many times to India and my wife was a Gupta before marrying me. We both agree this place is authentic and delicious. - Alec- Meal type
